Fire testing has been one of the main concerns people have with our CPS material, since it is made from processing expanded polystyrene - Styrofoam.
Below is a fire test using an Oxy-Acetylene torch. We estimated the temperature around 3,500 F. The CPS has been covered with a 1/16'' layer of Sodium Silicate, which is a natural and non-toxic fire retardent.
Below is a test using a candle flame on a sample of CPS that has been covered with a 1/16'' layer of Sodium Silicate. The flame is estimated to be between 2,300 F to 2,500 F.
